Drywell Decommissioning - MCAS Yuma

A new facility and parking lot were under construction at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. Two drywells were identified within the construction area. The drywells were causing significant delays to the project. GCE was contacted and immediately responded to the site.

GCE managed and successfully decommissioned the two drywells at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. The project was completed in accordance with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Drywell Decommissioning Guidelines. The excavated drywell was inspected for the presence of soil staining, odors, or potential contamination. GCE prepared the final drywell decommissioning report and submitted the report to ADEQ for permanent closure. GCE was able to respond quickly to the needs of the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, close out the drywells, and allow construction at the site to continue.
